Self-supporting translucent cellular panel for multipurpose use in roofing, facade, and partitions with joints using auxiliary elements.
The new MODULAR FLAT Panel from PRONTOPANEL is a flat cellular panel with various core structures depending on thickness, made of polycarbonate, designed with two flat closed edges for various uses.
Its cellular configuration provides it with good thermal and acoustic properties while allowing for the utilization of natural light inside the building.
These properties allow the use of the MODULAR FLAT panel in multiple applications such as skylights.
The MODULAR FLAT Panel or Flat Translucent Cellular Sheet from PRONTOPANEL, in thin thicknesses, is ideal for greenhouse solutions, openings in carpentry such as windows, ceilings, or partitions, curved roof solutions like pools or vaulted hallway roofs, or arched skylights on roofs.
In larger thicknesses, it is also a simple and cost-effective solution for continuous skylights in facades, large windows, curtain walls, and interior partitions that require a translucent solution.
Another option is to use it as a solution for small-scale construction, DIY, or do-it-yourself projects for building enclosures in sheds, pergolas, porches, parking areas, and garages.
The MODULAR FLAT Panel allows for various types of installation, primarily differentiated by the type of side joint used:
Polycarbonate Joint: This involves an “H” profile made of polycarbonate in which the edges of the two panels to be joined fit on both sides. Fixation is done on the “H” profile and in the central areas of the panels based on the type of load-bearing structure and the width of the panels. This is an economical solution ideal for large surfaces such as greenhouses, vaults, or partitions.
Universal Joint: This consists of a profile made up of EPDM gaskets supported by an aluminum profile that is fixed to the structure connecting the two adjacent panels through the EPDM gasket “fingers.” This is a solution with a more aesthetic finish and greater strength and durability. It requires a load-bearing structure aligned with the joints between panels.
Omega Profile Joint: This involves placing an inverted “omega” profile, which can be made of aluminum or steel, and when fixed, it secures the panels of polycarbonate with its wings. This solution is of the carpentry type and is used for larger panel thicknesses.

TORNILLO
El tornillo especial para panel sándwich fachada es autotaladrante, por lo que no es preciso realizar taladros previos sobre el panel o la estructura portante. Incluye una arandela específica que garantiza la estanqueidad en la zona de fijación una vez ejecutada correctamente.

TAPON PC
Se instala para las fijaciones sobre panel celular. Dispone de tope para no aplastar el panel al realizar el apriete del tornillo, arandela para reparto de esfuerzos sobre el panel alveolar y junta estanca bajo la arandela para garantizar la estanqueidad de la fijación. Su tamaño permite realizar el taladro coliso sobre el panel, necesarios para permitir las dilataciones de éste.

OMEGAS METÁLICAS
Cuando la instalación se realiza sobre una superficie ya existente como, una fachada de placas o un paño de mortero o madera, es conveniente utilizar este perfil entre las dos superficies para que la unión al paño inferior sea con las fijaciones adecuadas y la unión del panel a la omega sea con su tornillería exclusiva.
