The new MINIONDA Sheet by PRONTOPANEL is a profiled sheet of pre-painted steel with wavy geometry for various uses in roofing, facade, and partitions.
The MINIONDA Sheet or LOW WAVE Plate by PRONTOPANEL is ideal for solutions in roofing, ceilings, or partitions as a very cost-effective solution for buildings with no insulation requirements in industrial or agricultural use.
It is also used in sandwich-type panels ‘in situ’ with double sheeting and intermediate insulation.” It is common to use it to improve the insulation of existing steel or fibrocement roofs by installing battens and insulation, closing it with the MINIONDA Sheet. This way, you can have a sandwich roof without prior disassembly.
Another option is to use it as a solution for small-scale construction, DIY, or do-it-yourself projects for building enclosures in sheds, pergolas, porches, parking areas, and garages.
The MINIONDA Sheet on the roof is installed by overlapping the two adjacent plates laterally so that the first WAVE of the second one overlaps the last WAVE of the first one. They are secured to the load-bearing structure using self-drilling screws with EPDM washer.
For longer eaves, the downstream sheet is installed first, and then the upstream sheet is installed, overlapping the entire length of the WAVES at the front. A minimum overlap of 200mm is recommended to ensure good waterproofing of the roof. This overlap should be increased for low-pitched roofs or in rainy areas.
Likewise, with the minionda geometry and depending on the roof and weather conditions, longitudinal overlap can be achieved by installing one or two waves. In this case, the useful width of the sheet decreases, and it should be taken into account in the layout of the roof.
In facade solutions, it allows for both vertical and horizontal installation.
